Buying Online or Requesting a Quote
Can I Buy Directly Online?
Yes. You can buy directly through the online store. If you already know which panel you need, this is usually the fastest option.
When Should I Request a Quote?
Request a quote if you need help choosing the right heating solution, planning a full-home installation, preparing a renovation project, or configuring several panels to work together.
This is also the best option for installers, architects, property owners, developers, or professional buyers who need project guidance or a tailored recommendation.
Can Westcoast Trading Help Me Choose the Right Model?
Yes. If you are unsure which panel, wattage or control option is suitable, contact us before ordering.
This is especially recommended for larger rooms, poorly insulated properties, wet rooms or multi-room projects.
Choosing the Right Product
Which Heating Panel Should I Choose?
The right panel depends on room size, insulation, humidity level, installation position and how the room is used.
As a simple guide:
- Hybrid PRO — hybrid infrared heat with convection, suitable for many living and working spaces.
- ISP HB — hybrid infrared heat with convection in a slimmer panel design.
- ISP Eco — infrared heating panel with IP44 splash protection, suitable for wet rooms.
- Accessories and thermostats — used to improve control, scheduling and comfort.
Which Panels Are Suitable for Bathrooms or Wet Rooms?
For bathrooms, wet rooms or areas with higher humidity, use ISP Eco panels.
ISP Eco panels have IP44 splash protection. Hybrid panels such as Hybrid PRO and ISP HB are not suitable for wet rooms or rooms with constant relative air humidity above 65%.
Can the Panels Be Installed Vertically?
Some models can be installed vertically, depending on the product line and size.
Please check the product page or contact us before ordering if vertical installation is important for your room layout.
Infrared Heating and Comfort
How Does Hybrid Infrared Heating Work?
Hybrid infrared heating combines direct infrared warmth with convection.
Instead of only heating the air, it warms people, walls, floors and objects directly. This can create a comfortable feeling faster than traditional electric radiators or convectors.
Is Infrared Heating Different from Traditional Electric Heating?
Yes. Traditional electric heaters mainly heat the air. Infrared heating warms surfaces and people directly.
This can improve comfort, reduce heat loss and help the room feel warm even at a lower air temperature.
Does Infrared Heating Dry the Air?
Infrared heating does not depend mainly on hot air circulation, so it usually creates less dry-air discomfort than conventional convection heating.
Is Infrared Heating Healthy?
Yes. Infrared technology is used as medical therapy for muscle and joint issues. By not drying out the room air and not circulating dust particles, it can also help people with respiratory issues.
Can Infrared Heating Help with Damp and Mould?
Infrared heating can help reduce condensation by warming walls and solid surfaces directly.
This may help limit damp and mould problems when the system is correctly sized and used. However, it does not replace proper ventilation or repairs for structural moisture, leaks or building defects.
Installation and Use
Is Installation Complicated?
Installation is very easy (plug & play) and simpler than central heating because there are no pipes, pumps or boilers.
Depending on the model, panels may be wall-mounted or ceiling-mounted. Always follow the product instructions and safety requirements.
Do I Need an Electrician?
All panels are plug-and-play and include an integrated power plug, so they can be installed by anyone in standard rooms.
A qualified electrician is required for fixed electrical connections, thermostat integration, larger installations, and any installation in bathrooms or wet rooms.
Does Westcoast Trading Install the Panels?
No. Westcoast Trading supplies heating panels and product guidance.
All panels are plug-and-play and can be installed by anyone in standard rooms. A qualified electrician is required for fixed electrical connections, thermostat integration, larger installations, and any installation in bathrooms or wet rooms.

Energy, Efficiency and Control
Are Infrared Heating Panels Energy Efficient?
Infrared heating can be energy efficient when the system is correctly sized, installed and controlled. Hybrid infrared heating can consume up to 30% less energy than other conventional heating systems.
Because it warms people and surfaces directly, it can reduce unnecessary heating time and improve comfort in real use.
How Much Does It Cost to Run an Infrared Panel?
Running costs depend on the panel wattage, electricity tariff, room size, insulation, thermostat settings and how many hours the panel is used.
For a simple estimate, multiply the panel power by the number of hours used and by your electricity price per kWh. For multi-room projects, contact us so we can help you evaluate the right setup before buying.
Can I Heat Only Selected Rooms?
Yes. Infrared heating works well with room-by-room control.
This allows you to heat only the rooms you use, instead of heating the whole property at the same time.
How Can I Control the Panels?
Depending on the product and setup, control options may include:
- Built-in digital thermostat
- Built-in receiver with wireless wall thermostat
- Smart Wi-Fi socket thermostat
- Remote socket switch
The best option depends on the panel model and how you use the room.
Can Infrared Heating Work with Renewable Energy?
Yes. As an electric heating solution, infrared panels can be combined with renewable electricity sources, such as solar PV, depending on the property setup.
